A Message from Our Company’s Owner & President, Joe Vella
When I was 10, I remember lending my father a hand in different projects, such as renovating kitchens and bathrooms, constructing sheds, installing new roofs, and building large decks. These moments made me realize my true calling.
At 16, I spent my Saturdays and free time after school reconstructing chimneys, which helped me gain experience in masonry, roofing, and carpentry. After a short time and many promotions, I moved to a head management position where I was in charge of six four-person crews. The next 10 years saw me and my team build and maintain thousands of brick and prefabricated chimneys from Long Island to New Jersey.

The Beginning of All Island Handyman & Construction
In addition to my chimney work, I took on various home improvement projects on weeknights and weekends as a hobby. I loved handling these jobs, which involved plumbing, electrical work, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling. After many referrals and through word of mouth, I decided to pursue my passion for home renovation and carpentry by opening All Island Handyman & Construction.
For me, the best part of this new job is that I can now work in all areas of home improvement. Running this company has made me feel very fulfilled, and I always look forward to working on my next project and going beyond my customers’ expectations and needs.
